I'm going: who sees where you go?

With I'm going you let your friends know you are going to a party. Who sees it depends on your profile: public or private.

Every event page has the I'm going button. Tap it and your friends see that you are going. Tap it again to undo it. I'm going only works when you are logged in and have done the 18+ check.

Who sees it

  • Public profile: everyone sees where you have been. Only friends see where you are going.
  • Private profile: only you see where you are going and where you have been, friends included. Your name and photo stay visible, for example in your friends list and in chats.
  • Interested is a note to yourself. Nobody else sees it.
  • On a night the organiser or our team marked as sensitive, nobody sees who is going.
  • If you blocked someone, or they blocked you, you see nothing of each other.

The number of people going, such as 12 going, does show on the event page. That is a number, not a list of names.

And the group chat?

I'm going and the group chat are two separate things. Whether I'm going also puts you in the group chat is your own setting. The article about the event group chat explains it.
