The event group chat: straight in, ask me first or never by itself

Every event has a group chat with everyone who is going. Whether you join it when you tap I'm going is up to you.

Everyone who is going is in the group chat: meeting up, lifts, who is where. You choose once what happens when you tap I'm going. We ask when you create your account, and you can change it later in your settings.

Your setting

Go to partyppl.nl/instellingen and under Privacy, at Group chat on I'm going, choose:

  • Straight in: tap I'm going and you are straight in that night's group chat.
  • Ask me first: after I'm going we ask whether you want in. Without a yes you stay out. This is the default.
  • Never by itself: you only join a group chat when you tap Join yourself.

When you buy a ticket, the same setting applies.

The question after I'm going

With Ask me first, you get the question Join the group chat too? after I'm going. Choose Yes, put me in or No, not now. If you turn on Remember this for next time, a yes becomes Straight in and a no becomes Never by itself.

Joining or leaving later

  • To join: tap Join on the event page or in the chat.
  • To leave: choose Leave the group chat on the event page, or Leave group chat in the chat.
  • Leaving does not touch your I'm going: you are still going, only the chat leaves your overview. You can join again later.

Every chat message has Report. A person looks at your report, usually within 24 hours. What is and is not allowed is in the house rules: partyppl.nl/huisregels
